Pretty Produce

Pretty Produce, 9x12, Oil. Showing at Eastern Shore Art Center, Fairhope.
No these radishes were not painted in the open air, though they probably originated there. It is the path of light on the leaves that makes this one work for me, that and the rhythmic simplicity.
I know I should be using that sketchbook they gave us at "Week End with the Masters" for more than a back drop, to actually practice drawing in, but I just love paint SO much!

It seems a wonder all you do, you get the colors and the dimensions of the subtlety of your shadows and lights.
The awards are in your studio behind the model used to do justice to the voice of your heart.

Thanks for sharing friend

I know what you mean about that sketchbook. I'm trying to dicipline myself to at least do a couple of value studies each day.But the pull of the paint...!

Theresa, we must keep on keepin' on...

Alexander- I appreciate that! Thanks a lot.

Joan- Good to hear from you. I've enjoyed our friendship here for a couple years now. Also, it's been great to see you gain expertise as a plein air artist.
