Banks of the Bayou

Banks of the Bayou, 9x12, Oil.
Just weeks after doing this plein air study in December, I followed the address given for our painting location, which turned out to be this same place I had focused in on from across the Bayou. It was interesting to see the structure up-close. The porch, columns, red roofs, & boathouse that I had depicted in the minimalist of marks was quite elaborate. An additional perk of our painting group, is that it gets you out of the studio to destinations that would otherwise be unexplored.

Magnificent work, congratulations. It is fascinating contact with the "pitch", you get to capture the true essence of the places you discover.
I follow you, thanks for sharing
