Ten O'clock Shadow

"The Ten O'clock Shadow", SOLD, 9x12, Oil. As I titled and signed this, I noticed that my photo of the interesting shadow pattern on the house was taken at 10:00. Considering composition, I aim to lead the viewer around with varied interest, but also to concentrate some sparkle at the main focal point.

From the beginning- letting the waterline shine.

There was a famliy of mallards observing me, sharing the morning.

A lovely tranquil scene, Jill! The duck would also be a good subject!

nice work Jill !
The shimmering water does lead one's eyes to the 10 O'clock shadow on the house. Very nicely composed

Thanks everyone, for your kind comments. It was good to hear from you guys that I haven't heard from for a while, and it's always nice to hear from a new commenter- pc, I appreciate your input.
Ramesh- Thanks for bringing that to my attention. I knew I had a broken tag (this machine won't always do what I tell it to.) Last week it reverted to the old upload format.

Nice work! Just my kind of art I like on a living room wall. I'll certainly make sure my friends visit your blog!
