Drawing the Eye into the Painting

In this painting "Morning Reflections", the funnel shaped area of water & reflections in the foreground, as well as the lines formed by the edge of the shore, help to draw you back into the rest of the scene, through the marsh & then up into the interesting sky & tree patterns. Sometimes a painting has to stay in the studio a while before you work out the kinks. As you can see, I began loosely laying it in, but in time it became more refined. This painting is available at- WhatEver! Gallery in Pensacola, or from my website . It is Oil on a 9x12 Gallery Wrap Canvas. The sides are also painted so it requires no frame.
