Editing Your Painting, Part 2

This painting was also edited after I returned home. In yesterday's post I took the painting home and added the people. In this one I had to rub out a few people. After I had it near completion people began to come out to the beach and as I saw an interesting gesture I added it. When I got home and realized the "ducks in a row" effect, I had to decide which people to eliminate. The yellow flag was out on Pensacola Pier, thus the title: Yellow Flag, Rough Surf.  [SOLD]. It was a good time to practice my palette knife technique . I purposely left bits of the toned canvas showing to give the feeling of life and movement.
