Birds Don't Sing the Blues

Monet is quoted as saying, "I would like to paint like a bird sings". Well, birds don't sing the Blues. A bird's singing is an unlabored, joyous expression of life.
This painting "Life on the Coast" exhibits the beauty of the U.S. Southern coast, which for some trumps the fear of hurricanes. This painting was completed all in one afternoon session. It has won two juried prizes, I think due to it's unlabored appeal. It is available for purchase at Merrill Miller's Interiors, Orange Beach, AL; or through my website .
